Yemen announces URGENT mobilization

Yemen’s parliament has approved an appeal by Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, to declare a general mobilization in the country.

TodayPress TV reports that the decision is aimed at countering the Houthis’ military escalation and protecting civilians, as well as safeguarding the country’s constitutional legitimacy, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to the decision, the general mobilization will take effect from the day it is declared and will end once the factors that prompted its launch have been eliminated.

During the parliamentary session, the support provided by the Saudi-led coalition to Yemen’s authorities was also highly appreciated. It was emphasized that the coalition had assisted in restoring state institutions.
