World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain has shared details of a lunch he had with former world No. 1 Roger Federer during the 2026 Laver Cup.

TodayPress TV reports that Alcaraz’s comments were shared on social media platform X by Spanish journalist José Morón.

“We were having lunch when suddenly Roger came over, picked up his plate and sat down at our table. I’m not going to say what we talked about because it was a private moment. What we discussed will stay between us, but everything was great. I see Roger from time to time when he appears at tournaments, but I rarely get the chance to spend time with him during the tour.

“That’s exactly why the Laver Cup is so special — because here I can spend more time with Roger, talk to him off the court and ask him questions. It’s amazing, and I really love moments like these,” Alcaraz said.
