Urgent talks between Iran and the US! Will military operations be halted?

Qatari mediators are expected to hold separate talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the US side in New York on September 28 or 29.

TodayPress TV reports, citing an official familiar with the talks, that Reuters reported this.

The official emphasized that the discussions are expected to focus mainly on a revised version of Iran’s seven-day proposal presented last week on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

According to the report, Araghchi has remained in New York after attending the General Assembly. It is not yet known who will represent the US side in the talks with the mediators.

It should be noted that the seven-day plan calls for a halt to all military operations in Iran and Lebanon, the unfreezing of Iranian assets worth billions of dollars, an end to sanctions imposed on Iranian oil, and the lifting of the US blockade of Iranian ports.

After that, Tehran would allow the Strait of Hormuz to reopen, while the sides would also resume negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program.
