Another ship hit in the Strait of Hormuz

A commercial vessel sailing through the Strait of Hormuz has been hit by a projectile.

TodayPress TV reports, citing the Fars news agency, that the incident occurred while the vessel was sailing through the southern route of the strait in Omani waters, north of the city of Khasab.

A fire broke out on the vessel following the strike. Efforts to extinguish the fire are currently underway.

The name of the vessel, the condition of its crew members and the party responsible for the strike have not been disclosed.

It should be noted that several incidents involving commercial vessels have been recorded in the Strait of Hormuz in recent days. On September 23, a commercial vessel was also hit by an unidentified projectile, and its crew was evacuated.
