US Embassy issues URGENT warning to Americans living in Israel

The US Embassy in Jerusalem has issued a new security warning.

The embassy has urged US citizens in the region to “exercise increased vigilance” amid concerns that the situation in the Middle East could escalate, TodayPress TV reports.

The warning highlighted the risks of possible escalation, flight cancellations and airspace closures. It also stated that Iran and its allied groups could carry out attacks against US interests abroad.

However, it was emphasized that the statement does not constitute an evacuation order. The travel advisory level for Israel remains unchanged, with the country still at Level 3 — “Reconsider Travel.”

It was noted that the warning is less severe than the advisory issued on August 1, which recommended that Americans consider leaving Israel.

The embassy advised US citizens to download the Israel Defense Forces’ “Home Front Command” app, identify the location of the nearest shelter in advance, keep essential supplies ready and check flight information directly with airlines.
