Ilham Aliyev: Baku and Yerevan working to increase bilateral trade

Azerbaijan and Armenia are working to increase the volume of bilateral trade, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the SCO Plus meeting, according to TodayPress TV.

"Together with Armenia, we are working to increase the volume of bilateral trade, expand its range, and establish new land transportation links," President Aliyev said.

The president noted that Azerbaijan is already supplying petroleum products to Armenia and facilitating the transit of goods from third countries.

According to him, a little more than a year ago, Azerbaijan and Armenia brought an end to a conflict that had lasted for more than 30 years by initialing the text of a peace agreement.

"Thus, the South Caucasus region, which had been a zone of long-standing conflicts, is turning into a zone of peace. Four UN Security Council resolutions adopted in 1993 were implemented 30 years later, three years ago," he noted.
