He wanted to crash the plane into the terminal: Pilot’s shocking confession
The co-pilot of a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv on September 30 allegedly planned to carry out a terrorist attack at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport.
TodayPress TV reports that the statement was made by UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi.
“During the investigation, it was established that the co-pilot, an Omani national, had attempted to carry out a premeditated terrorist attack. He intended to seize control of the aircraft and use it to carry out a suicide attack on the passenger terminal at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, with the aim of causing as many casualties as possible,” he said.
The suspect was reportedly subdued by the crew and passengers, after which the aircraft made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.
The pilot has reportedly given a confession, stating that he acted alone.
