The race of millions: Enzo Fernandez writes his name into history!

Argentina national team central midfielder Enzo Fernandez’s transfer from Chelsea to Manchester City is currently among the five most expensive transfers in football history.

Fernandez’s €145 million move is the fourth-most expensive deal in football history, TodayPress TV reports, citing the Transfermarkt statistics portal.

Last summer, Liverpool also paid the same amount to sign striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United. The record still belongs to Neymar, who moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for €222 million nine years ago.
