Is Washington making a gesture to Moscow or abandoning Kyiv?
The United States did not join an anti-Russian statement submitted by Ukraine ahead of a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine.
TodayPress TV reports that the statement, read out by European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, was supported by several countries, including Austria, Canada, Estonia, France, Slovakia, Switzerland, Italy and the United Kingdom.
None of the countries from Africa or South America joined the statement.
