US President Donald Trump’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have said that Russia may be ready to resume negotiations after the State Duma elections in the country.

TodayPress TV reports, citing sources in the French presidential administration, that Le Figaro reported this.

“The Americans told us that after the Duma elections, there will be a renewed readiness for negotiations in Russia, and in this context, we should prepare for a new stage of talks,” the French presidential administration told journalists.

According to the report, elections to Russia’s State Duma will be held on September 18-20.

It should be noted that Witkoff and Kushner met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on September 5 and subsequently held talks with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.
