CBA’s foreign exchange reserves reach record high - exceed $15 billion

The official foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) increased in the first eight months of 2026, TodayPress TV reports, citing the CBA.

As of August 31, the Central Bank’s official foreign exchange reserves amounted to $15.3 billion.

At the end of last year, this figure stood at $11.5 billion. Thus, foreign exchange reserves have increased by $3.8 billion, or 32.9%, since the beginning of the year.

At the end of August 2025, the CBA’s official foreign exchange reserves amounted to $11.2 billion. On an annual basis, the reserves increased by $4.1 billion, or 36%.

Note that the Central Bank’s foreign exchange reserves stood at $13.8 billion at the end of July. Thus, in August alone, the reserves increased by approximately $1.5 billion, or 11.1%.
