Is the US increasing maritime pressure on Iran? – 92 vessels redirected
US forces have redirected 92 commercial vessels since the blockade of Iranian ports was reinstated in mid-July.
TodayPress TV reports that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) made the announcement on the social media platform X.
“As of September 6, US forces have redirected 92 commercial vessels, disabled three and boarded two others,” the statement said.
On September 3, the number of redirected vessels stood at 87.
It should be noted that the US reinstated its maritime blockade of Iran on July 14.
