China sends troops to Russia

China’s People’s Liberation Army Ground Force sent military personnel to Russia on September 7 to participate in mine-clearing exercises.

TodayPress TV reports that the Chinese Central Television (CCTV) provided the information.

The exercises will continue until September 12. The event is being organised as part of the work of an expert working group under the expanded meeting of ASEAN defence ministers.

The exercises involve the armed forces of several countries and are aimed at improving skills in restoring safety in areas contaminated by explosives. The drills include mechanical mine clearance, the use of mine-detection dogs and the disposal of improvised explosive devices.

The event aims to promote the exchange of experience, enhance participating countries’ mine-clearing capabilities, and strengthen peace and stability in the region.
