Moscow rejects Armenia’s request: Documents not accepted

Russia has not lifted the restrictions it imposed on imports of fish and dairy products from Armenia.

TodayPress TV reports, citing the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor), that the agency told TASS about this.

It was reported that the Armenian side had not submitted documents confirming that the violations identified during the production of these products had been eliminated.

It should be recalled that Russia had previously restricted imports of a number of Armenian products, including mineral water, alcoholic beverages, vegetables, fruits, fish and dairy products, due to identified violations.

Rosselkhoznadzor noted that it had received only guarantees and appeals from Armenia’s inspection authority. The Armenian side was informed that this was insufficient to lift the restrictions.
