Azerbaijani gas enters Slovenian market: Middle Corridor next in line

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Slovenia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

TodayPress TV reports that the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided information about the meeting.

Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated his counterpart on her appointment and wished her success.

The ministers reviewed the bilateral agenda, noting that 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In this context, they emphasized the importance of intensifying political dialogue and developing mutual support on international platforms.

The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in the energy and transit sectors. The supply of Azerbaijani natural gas to the Slovenian market was positively assessed, while opportunities to develop partnerships on strategic connectivity along the Middle Corridor were also discussed.

Jeyhun Bayramov also briefed his counterpart on the current state of the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization agenda and the large-scale reconstruction efforts being carried out in Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from occupation.
