Hungary is expelling 10 employees of the Russian embassy from the country.

TodayPress TV reports that Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orban announced the decision on her X account.

She noted that, according to the Hungarian government’s assessment, 10 members of the Russian mission had engaged in activities in Hungary deemed unacceptable for diplomats, and Budapest had called on them to leave the country.

Orban said the decision protects Hungary’s security and sovereignty. It does not mean that diplomatic relations with Russia are being severed.

“Hungary intends to continue the necessary dialogue based on mutual respect and compliance with the rules,” the foreign minister stressed.
