India is holding talks with Russia and Ukraine on ensuring the safe passage of vessels carrying grain and fuel in the Black Sea.

TodayPress TV reports that Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar spoke about this at a conference held in the Indian capital.

He noted that attacks on vessels in the Black Sea are unacceptable.

“Talks with Moscow and Kyiv have moved to discussions on ensuring that the delivery of cargo is not obstructed. Concerns have been expressed over grain exports, which have largely been halted in the Black Sea region. Thus, the talks have taken on a broader character. They are currently continuing,” he said.

According to him, the issue also concerns the supply of energy resources.

In this context, he recalled a meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Bishkek:

“And after that, he (Modi – ed.) asked me to go to Kyiv, and I went there and met with Zelensky. We remain in contact with both sides. Clearly, the situation is not simple.”
