Corruption case reaches Meghri mayor
Eight people, including Khachatur Andreasyan, head of the Meghri community in Armenia, have been detained as part of a corruption investigation.
TodayPress TV reports that, according to Armenia’s Corruption Prevention Commission, the investigation is being conducted as part of a criminal case initiated over alleged instances of bribery and accepting bribes.
The head of the Syunik regional division of the Eco-Patrol Service is also reportedly among those detained.
The investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
