Former US Central Intelligence Agency analyst Larry Johnson has warned that Ukraine’s military supply lines could face a serious threat in the near future.

TodayPress TV reports that, speaking to the Neutrality Studies YouTube channel, he claimed that Russia is increasing military and economic pressure on Ukraine.

According to Johnson, Russian forces are applying economic pressure in the south, continuing military operations in the east and carrying out strikes on critical infrastructure in Kyiv.

The former analyst said one of the main objectives of these actions is to disrupt the supply lines of the Ukrainian military. He claimed that Russian forces have already been carrying out strikes on military facilities in Kyiv for several weeks.

Earlier, Foreign Policy also reported that Russian strikes had pushed the war into a new phase. According to the publication, Moscow is seeking to put pressure on Ukraine’s economy, transportation system and supply routes.
