The Ukrainian government does not plan to lower the upper age limit for mobilization, TodayPress TV reports, citing the UNIAN news agency.

This was stated by Pavel Palisa, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

“The upper age limit for mobilization is not currently planned to be lowered to 55,” the Deputy Head of the Office of the President said.

Palisa added that work is currently underway to clearly and precisely define the duration of military service. According to him, Ukraine should move toward transitioning its armed forces to a contract-based military service system.
