Why is the US stockpiling ammunition? – “We are ready for any situation!”

US President Donald Trump has said that the United States has large stocks of ammunition for military operations, TodayPress TV reports.

The US president made the remarks in a post on one of his social media accounts.

Trump said US stocks of medium- and high-quality ammunition are virtually unlimited and large enough to support the ongoing military operations involving Iran, as well as possible future wars.

The US president also noted that ammunition production in the country has been increased on an unprecedented scale and that stockpiles are being built up.

According to Trump, the United States is currently retaining most of the ammunition it produces for its own needs. He said arms sales to allies would resume soon.

Trump also claimed that the administration of former President Joe Biden had sent Ukraine more US ammunition free of charge than the amount the United States had used in Iran.

He stressed that the United States had provided hundreds of billions of dollars in assistance to Ukraine and NATO, arguing that these costs should actually have been covered by European countries.
